improving your Spanish while also enjoying a change of scenery?

I offer you two possibilities depending on the number of days you have available:

Walking the language

1 day, 9 hours of immersion

One-day activity (9 hours of immersion). Together we will organise an activity that you like: we will go for a walk, visit a cultural centre, browse around in a library, cook or do whatever you want to do! The ultimate goal is to spend an enjoyable day speaking only Spanish or Catalan.

Before the day is over we will find some shade or a table where we can sit and reflect for a while on the vocabulary and linguistic structures that came up during the day.

Living the language

Up to 1 week

Up to a week’s stay in my home sharing meals, classes and life. Undoubtedly the most intensive and meaningful of the options if you want to fully immerse yourself in the language and its context!

Laura is a talented and inspiring teacher who draws from her own learning experiences to understand how students can feel vulnerable when learning a new language, especially speaking it. From the first moment she welcomed me into her lovely and cozy home, I felt relaxed and comfortable and this helped me to learn a lot. We made good use of the time, we even got to enjoy a beautiful walk around a lake surrounded by snow-capped mountains and chats in front of the fireplace. Everything in Spanish! I will definitely come back!

Living The Language is a different way of understanding a language. It offers you a linguistic immersion, practical and fun at the same time. It makes learning feel fun and necessary. Laura has a gift for making you feel good about learning. My understanding and confidence when speaking increased already from the first session. If you are a person who is committed to learning and you want to try a totally personalized and unique experience, this is for you.

With Living the Language Laura offers you the necessary push to start or to continue advancing in the study of the language. In the calm of her charming house, I was able to concentrate on the different tasks that we previously agreed on. Laura is a very prepared teacher, who knows how to listen to her students and who always makes sure that everything is clear before taking the next step. As well as being an amazing cook!

Living the Language has been a very good, useful and very pleasant experience to help me prepare for the B1 level of Catalan. In addition to helping me get to know the Catalan culture. Due to my lack of availability it was impossible for me to have enough time to do an extensive language course, but with Laura it has been very easy to adjust the program to my schedule and that has allowed me to work quickly, intensively and efficiently. And I had a great time too!
